Two men were killed in separate shootings Sunday in west suburban Bellwood.

About 10:51 p.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 1100 block of Eastern Avenue and found Uriah Houston with gunshot wounds, Bellwood police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Houston, 41, was taken to Loyola University Medical Center, where he later died, authorities said. He lived in Bellwood.

Hours earlier, police found a 36-year-old man slumped over behind the wheel of a vehicle.

Officers found Stanley Street Jr. about 9:24 a.m. in the 500 block of 22nd Avenue, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy determined Street, of Bloomingdale, died of multiple gunshot wounds to the head, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

It was too early in the investigation to say whether the two shootings were related, Bellwood Police Chief Jiminez Allen said.

No arrests have been reported in either incident. Bellwood police are investigating.
