BHOPAL: About two lakh people were vaccinated to protect against Covid-19 infection across Madhya Pradesh on Thursday. According to government data, 75% of doses administered during the day were to people seeking second dose for full inoculation.
There were 7,077 sites conducting vaccination across MP. Satna district reported the highest turnout with 10,712 people getting the jab. It was followed by Chhindwara at 10673 doses, Jabalpur 9918 doses, Indore with 9658 and Ujjain with 7752 doses administered.
Twenty districts in MP have administered more than ten lakh first doses. Roughly 30% of the state’s eligible population, by first dose vaccination count, are fully vaccinated.
Only Bhopal and Indore are districts where more than 50% of population has received both doses. Ujjain, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Burhanpur have vaccinated under 49% but above 40% of people for second dose. 14 districts have second dose coverage under about 20% and under 24%. In 19 districts, second dose coverage has reached 25% to 29%.12 districts have a second dose coverage percentage between 30% to 39%.
