Two men were killed Monday in a crash in Winthrop Harbor near the border between Illinois and Wisconsin.
Their vehicle crashed into a tree about 5:30 a.m. near the area of Lewis Avenue and 12th Street, the Lake County coroner’s office said.
An autopsy showed that the men, both 26, died of blunt force injuries from the crash, the coroner’s office said.
Winthrop Harbor police did not immediately respond to a request for details.
