Two people are dead after a crash Tuesday in an unincorporated area near Thornton Township in the south suburbs.

Jeremy Steward, 30, and Michelle Johnson, 32, were driving about 5:30 p.m. when they got into an argument and their vehicle crashed into a utility pole in the 14000 block of Wood Street, the Cook County sheriff’s and medical examiner’s offices said.

Steward and Johnson were taken to Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, where they both died, officials said.

Autopsies conducted Wednesday ruled both their deaths an accident.
