TWO walkers were rescued from a mountain on a Scottish island after being injured in separate incidents.
Arran Mountain Rescue Team (AMRT) said it was called out to the first of the injured walkers on Goatfell at around 12pm on Wednesday.
The walker had sustained an ankle injury while descending from the mountain and was unable to make it back down safely.

While they were treating the first walker, AMRT became aware of another walker with an ankle injury who was also trying to make their way down the mountain.
The team then offered the second walker support for the rest of the way down.
Sharing the incidents on their Facebook page, AMRT said: "The team were called out around 12:00 today to assist a person who had sustained an ankle injury while descending from Goatfell.
"Team members deployed onto the hill, located the casualty, and provided pain relief and splinting before packaging and carrying them to the team’s Argo Cat.
"They were then evacuated from the hill and handed over to the Scottish Ambulance Service for transport to hospital.
"While treating this first casualty, we became aware of another person nearby who had also sustained an ankle injury. Although they were bravely attempting to descend the mountain, we were able to assist them from the hill, which they gratefully accepted.
AMRT added: "We wish both casualties a speedy recovery."
