2 injured in Gladstone Park shooting

A 37-year-old man shot two people he was arguing with in the 5500 block of North Monitor Avenue.

Two people were injured in Gladstone Park after a man shot them before turning the gun on himself Tuesday, according to police.

The 37-year-old man was arguing with another man and a woman about 8:53 p.m. in the 5500 block of North Monitor Avenue when he shot them both, Chicago police said.

The 37-year-old was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

The two were taken to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge in good condition, police said. A woman, 48, was shot in the arm, and a 29-year-old man was shot in the shoulder.

Officials recovered a weapon on the scene and are investigating the incident as domestic-related, police said.

Area North detectives are investigating.
