2 habitual offenders held in Bengaluru for robbery

BENGALURU: Two habitual offenders have been arrested for allegedly robbing five persons travelling in an SUV near Reva College recently.

The accused are Aslam Pasha alias Turab, 32, of Budigere and Syed Imran, 24, of KG Halli. According to police, businessman Vijeesh K was driving his Toyota Fortuner towards the college from Bagalur side around 2.30pm. He found two persons riding a scooter haphazardly ahead of his vehicle and honked at them. The duo became incensed and blocked the SUV’s path. They damaged the car windows and allegedly tried to stab Vijeesh in the neck before taking Rs 5,000 from his pocket and speeding away.

Yelahanka police said Turab and Imran have criminal cases against them in Sampigehalli, Hennur, Kothanur, Soladevanahalli, Kadugondanahalli and Bagalur police stations.
