Two men are facing charges after attacking and carjacking another man Monday in Little Village on the Southwest Side.
The pair was arrested minutes after they allegedly beat a 48-year-old man before taking his vehicle in the 2300 block of South Lawndale Avenue, Chicago police said.
After taking off, responding officers spotted the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop, police said.
Lashawn Harris, 30, and Jeffery Stevens, 24, were taken into custody and were charged one count each of aggravated vehicular hijacking, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery with great bodily harm, according to police.
They were due back in court Wednesday.
