2 Epstein Files texts and Trump drops Marjorie Taylor Greene like yesterday’s trash. Suddenly she’s not MAGA enough anymore

Marjorie Taylor Greene has been speaking against MAGA for a while now, and Donald Trump has finally caught up. Over the weekend, he took to his Truth Social to formally pull his endorsement of Greene. But she says it’s because of the Epstein Files.

The MAGA boss called his longtime ally “wacky” and a “ranting lunatic” in his latest rant. He blasted Greene for doing nothing but “COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN!” despite his “Record Achievements for our Country.” What achievements? “Ending DEI, stopping Biden’s record-setting inflation, Biggest Regulation Cuts in History, stopping EIGHT WARS,” and so on. But please don’t ask for proof of all that.

Trump claimed that Greene has been acting “RINO” lately because he refused to let her run for office again. According to whatever source he used, Greene “was at 12%” on the polls. And in his signature narcissism, she didn’t have a chance unless endorsed by him. Trump also announced that he has been ignoring Greene’s calls, which has upset the congresswoman.

“With 219 Congressmen/women, 53 U.S. Senators, 24 Cabinet Members, almost 200 Countries, and an otherwise normal life to lead, I can’t take a ranting Lunatic’s call every day.”

Greene’s response to Trump

Greene fired back on X, declaring that she didn’t worship or serve Trump. She also posted screenshots of two texts she had sent about unsealing the Jeffrey Epstein files. Denying Trump’s claims, she said that those texts “sent him over the edge” instead.

“President Trump just attacked me and lied about me. I haven’t called him at all, but I did send these text messages today. Apparently, this is what sent him over the edge. The Epstein files.”

What did Greene text Trump?

The two texts in question were sent to Trump and Natalie Harp, respectively. One tells Trump, “Check the flight logs of Epstein’s plane. Bill Clinton is on there like 26 times! … Epstein was the spider that wove the web of the deep state.” The other addresses Harp and seems like a defense to get off the bad books of her leader:

“In every single interview I have done, I have defended President Trump. I’ve said over and over that the women say he did nothing wrong, and their attorney says he’s the only one who helped. And the Democrats had 4 years to release the files, but did nothing. Stop ignoring women. Many of them literally voted for President Trump and say so publicly. Them being raped as teenagers is not a hoax.”

What does the fallout mean for the two?

Greene’s push for transparency on the Epstein saga is well documented. She signed the discharge petition to force a vote on the files, breaking from GOP leadership and Trump’s own stance. That, obviously, infuriated Trump since he’s trying so hard to keep the files under wraps. But why was Greene pulling all these anti-MAGA stunts all of a sudden?

There might be some truth to Trump’s assertion in this matter. Greene is seeking reelection and probably wanted to get on the good books of the public. Given Trump’s falling approval ratings, she had to get off his leash. So, she sided with Democrats on healthcare, bashed Trump on the shutdown, and joined the ranks of a few Republicans pushing for Epstein Files.

In turn, she risked losing the MAGA endorsement. At the same time, she tried to position herself as a “truth teller” inside the GOP. And who doesn’t love a rebel? But Trump has always swiftly punished his pets who ventured off script. And that’s what unfolded with Greene, too.
