NASHIK: Two people were killed in separate road accidents in the Mhasrool and Indiranagar areas of Nashik city on Saturday.
Jairam Mahadu Gaikwad (42), resident of Peth Road succumbed to the injuries he suffered in the accident along Dindori Road on April 18.
Gaikwad was riding a bike with his son Vishal and was going from Makhmalabad to Matori around 9 am when they rammed a car from behind. Police said that the car driver had suddenly applied brakes due to which Gaikwad rammed the car and suffered serious injuries in the accident. He and his son were rushed to a private hospital. Gaikwad succumbed to the injuries on Friday.
In another accident registered with the Indiranagar police station, a 29-year-old man died in a hit-and-run case.
Identified as Lakhan Patil, resident of Pathardi Phata, the accident victim was travelling on his bike from Pathardi village to Pathardi Circle on Wednesday night when he collided with another biker. Patil was rushed to a private hospital where he succumbed to the injuries on Friday.
