Two men were in critical condition Tuesday morning after a vehicle they were traveling in crashed into a building in Cragin on the Northwest Side.

About 4:05 a.m., a 28-year-old man was driving west in a black Honda Accord with a passenger thought to be about 20-years-old, when he struck the side of a business in the 5200 block of West Belmont Avenue, Chicago police said.

They were both rushed to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, with trauma throughout their bodies, police said.

A witness told officers the vehicle the men was in was speeding before the crash, police said.

Citations are pending as Area Five detectives investigate.
