Two Dolton residents are facing felony charges after they were allegedly caught stealing mail from businesses in southwest suburban Orland Park.
Jeanetta Roland and Aubrey Marshall, both 20 years old, were charged with theft and identity theft, Orland Park police said.
Officers responded to a report of mail being stolen out of mailboxes about 4:25 a.m. Thursday in the 10400 block of 163rd Place, police said. Shortly after, they located the vehicle that was described in the thefts and allegedly found Roland and Marshall inside with a black nylon bag full of unopened mail from businesses in the area.
Officers also found a United State Postal Service arrow key, which gave the pair access to secured mailboxes, police said.
Roland and Marshall were released on $10,000 bond Friday, Cook County court records show. They are due back in court Sept. 23.
