2 carjackings reported in one day on same Logan Square block

Chicago police are warning Logan Square residents about two carjackings that happened on the same day on one block in the Northwest Side neighborhood.

Two people were robbed of their vehicles at gunpoint July 28 in the 2800 block of North Springfield Avenue, Chicago police said. The first robbery happened about 3:20 a.m. and the other was at 8 p.m.

The suspects were described as three males brandishing a gun and a stick, police said.

Anyone with information about these carjackings is asked to call Area North detectives at 312-744-8263.
