2 brothers booked in Lucknow for not paying up for old car

LUCKNOW: An automotive company lodged a case of criminal breach of trust and of forgery against two brothers who had ordered for purchase of an old car from the company in Husainganj.

In his complaint, the OSD of the company, Azad Hafiz said one Bhanu and his brother Sarvesh, both of Banthra, ordered for purchase of an old car in 2019.

“The deal was finalized at Rs 3.25 lakh and the brothers deposited Rs 5,000 and got the car financed from a private financer. But in due course of time, they allegedly tricked the financer, following which the finance company refused the approval,” he said.

He said both the accused did not deposit the remaining sum for the car and did not even get it financed, thus causing a loss to the company.

“They had given an affidavit stating that they will deposit the money in case the approval for loan was denied,” he said.

ACP, Hazratganj, Akhilesh Singh said that an FIR under the charges of dishonesty and criminal breach of trust has been lodged and a probe is underway.
