JAIPUR: Bodies of two unidentified persons were found in two separate cases in Shyam Nagar and Brahmpuri areas here on Wednesday morning.
The first case was reported in Shyam Nagar where the body of an unidentified youth was found alongside a street.
According to ACP (Sodala) Bhopal Singh Bhati, the deceased could not be identified. “It appears to be a case of death due to drug overdose due to some evidence recovered from the spot,” he said.
Bhati ruled out the possibility of murder and said efforts were on to identify the deceased. Police said they had found two bottles of syringe-based drugs which indicated that he had consumed it in excessive proportions that may have caused his death.
In the second case, an unidentified body of a man was found floating in a nullah near Brahmpuri, said Brahmpuri SHO Pradeep Singh.
Police suspect that the man was likely to have died due to drowning. “It is likely that he fell into the nullah and his body was swept to Brahmpuri area,” he said.
Police said that the deceased may have consumed liquor and fallen into the nullah. Several locals had raised an alarm when they spotted his body and informed the local police about the incident. The Brahmpuri police also said that the man was fished out from the nullah and taken to the hospital where doctors pronounced him brought dead. The body is shifted to the hospital’s mortuary. “We are trying to find out about the whereabouts of the deceased by speaking to local around the nullah,” an official said.
