Police are warning residents to be on alert after two armed robberies were reported this month in Logan Square and Belmont Gardens on the Northwest Side.
A pair of armed men in a vehicle approached someone in each incident, Chicago police said in an alert. One man stayed in the vehicle while the other went out and demanded money from the person in Spanish.
The robberies happened abut an hour apart from each other on June 15, police said. One took place about 1:19 a.m. in the 4100 block of West Barry Avenue while the other occurred at 2:45 a.m. in the 3900 block of West Diversey Avenue.
The men are described as 20 to 25 years old, 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-6 and 200-220 pounds, police said. They were in a white Dodge Caravan or Dodge Durango.
Anyone with information about the robberies should call Area North detectives at 312-744-8263.
