A further 2,065 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in Scotland in the last 24 hours – including 136 in Ayrshire.
Latest data published by the Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland shows there are 931 Covid patients in Scottish hospitals – up 21 since yesterday.
The number of people battling the virus in ICUs across the nation is 68 – an increase of four over the same period.
There are 114 Covid patients in Ayrshire hospitals while six people are being treated for the disease in intensive care.
No new fatalities from the virus have been reported in the last 24 hours meaning Scotland's death toll remains at 9,163.
However, 11,538 deaths have been registered in Scotland where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to Sunday, October 24.
In terms of Public Health Scotland's rolling seven-day infection rate per 100,000 population, Clackmannanshire has the highest rate in the country – at 625.9 as of Sunday, October 31.
The Orkney Islands has the second-highest infection rate at 504.5 while Aberdeenshire is third with 458.2.
In terms of Ayrshire's three local authorities, East Ayrshire has the highest rate of 379.1 North Ayrshire's rate stands at 345.6 while South Ayrshire's is 280.
Of the 136 new cases reported in Ayrshire, 60 were in East Ayrshire, 40 in North Ayrshire and 36 in South Ayrshire.
