सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने लखीमपुर खीरी मामले पर सुनवाई करते हुए उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार से कल तक स्टेटस रिपोर्ट दाखिल करने को कहा है. जिसपर शुक्रवार को फिर से सुनवाई होगी.
मुख्य न्यायाधीश जस्टिस एनवी रमन्ना की बेंच ने इस मामले की सुनवाई की. कोर्ट ने कहा, हमें दो वकीलो ने मामले की सुनवाई के लिए पत्र लिखा था. हमने रजिस्ट्री को पीआईएल के तौर पर दाखिल करने के लिए कहा था लेकिन उन्होंने इसे स्वंत संज्ञान के रूप में दर्ज कर लिया. हालांकि इससे केस की सुनवाई पर कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता.
CJI: This was a letter written by 2 advocates. We directed Registry to list it as PIL, they listed it as suo moto case. However, it doesn’t matter. There was some confusion. Call these two advocates.

उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार की तरफ से पेश सीनियर वकील गरिमा प्रसाद ने कोर्ट को बताया कि मामले की जांच की जा रही है. हम जल्द ही रिपोर्ट पेश करेंगे.

इस पर मुख्य न्यायाधीश ने कहा कि हमारे पास सही से जांच नहीं होने को लेकर शिकायतें आई हैं. जिस पर यूपी सरकार की वकील ने कहा, जांच कमीशन बन गया है. हम स्टेटस रिपोर्ट दाखिल कर सकते है.
इस पर कोर्ट ने पूछा, क्या कल तक रिपोर्ट दाखिल हो सकती है? जिस पर जवाब देते हुए सीनियर वकील ने कहा, हम आज ही रिपोर्ट जमा करने की कोशिश करेंगे.

इस पर जस्टिस सूर्यकांत ने कहा, इस पीटिशन में बताया गया है कि एक पत्रकार और किसानों समेत कुल आठ लोगों की मौत हुई है. हम जानना चाहते हैं कि कौन आरोपी हैं जिनके खिलाफ एफआईआर दर्ज की गई है और क्या उन्हें गिरफ्तार किया गया है. इसे अपनी स्टेटस रिपोर्ट में जोड़ दें.

इसके साथ ही कोर्ट ने राज्य सरकार को मारे गए किसान लवप्रीत सिंह की मां को उचित इलाज देने का भी निर्देश दिया है.
