A 19-year-old woman was taken to hospital following a collision near the A690.
Northumbria Police received a report of a collision at the Dairy Lane roundabout shortly before 2.50pm on Friday, March 4.
It was reported to officers that a car had collided with the woman.

She was then taken to hospital by ambulance, police have confirmed. The driver of the car remained at the scene to help with enquiries.
The road was closed for a number of hours but has since reopened.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Shortly before 2.50pm today (Friday), we received a report of a collision at the Dairy Lane roundabout.
“It was reported that a car had collided with a 19-year-old woman.
“The female was taken to hospital by ambulance and the driver of the car remained at the scene to help with enquiries.
“The road was closed but has now reopened.”
