19 things that ruined your day if you were a Glasgow teen in the noughties

Being a teenager in Glasgow in the noughties was brilliant for the most part, but that doesn't mean there wasn't the occasional time when something would happen that would absolutely ruin your day.

In the 2000s, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Amy Winehouse, and Justin Timberlake were among those topping the charts. Unlike teenagers today, we didn’t share every moment of our lives on Instagram, and we weren’t glued to TikTok.

Nearly every teen in the noughties owned a Nintendo, and MSN was considered a hobby with many of us wasting hours after school or college chatting to friends we’d spent the whole day sending "pokes" to our pals on Facebook and playing FarmVille. Netflix hadn’t even become an online streaming service yet.

Looking back, they were very trivial, but at the time, they were incredibly irritating. Oh, how I miss those days of being a teen and there being nothing more important to worry about.
