Fans of the Madden NFL video game will be excited today. EA Sports released the player ratings for this year’s rookie class for Madden 20. Arizona Cardinals fans might be a little upset and might feel slighted.
Quarterback Kyler Murray, selected first overall in the draft, is not the highest-rated rookie in the game.
In fact, he isn’t anywhere near the top. He isn’t even the most highly-rated Cardinals rookie.
Murray is given a 73 overall rating. 19 other rookies, including teammate Byron Murphy, who was the first pick of the second round, who has a 75 overall rating.
The top rookie rating belongs to defensive lineman Quinnen Williams, the No. 3 overall pick. He has an 80 overall rating.
Murray’s 73 rating is the same as Philadelphia Eagles receiver J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, Minnesota Vikings center Garrett Bradbury, Green Bay Packers edge rusher Rashan Gary and Washington Redskins pass rusher Montez Sweat.
Overall, Murray is behind seven other offensive rookies in overall rating but he is the top-rated quarterback of the class.
