Liverpool’s Santa Dash 2021 took place today with hundreds of runners taking to the city’s streets dressed as Father Christmas in red and blue Santa suits.
The 5K fun run finally returned after having to go virtual last year due to the pandemic. It is the biggest and longest established Santa Run in the UK, now in its 18th year.
The race started at Liverpool’s Pier Head in front of the famous Liver Building. The route then flowed through the city centre passing through the Royal Albert Dock and back along the main waterfront roads.

The runners then turned into the tightly packed streets to finish in front of the Town Hall where they were greeted with giant Christmas characters and a flurry of snow on the finish line.
