18-year-old woman charged after schoolboy hit by car in Carluke

An 18-year-old woman has been charged after a young schoolboy was hit by a car in Carluke.

The 12-year-old boy suffered injuries after being struck on Carwath Road on Tuesday October 27.

The Lanarkshire Police Division have today advised the woman has been charged with road traffic offences.

A statement published this morning reads: "Police Scotland can confirm an 18-year-old woman has been charged with road traffic offences after a 12-year-old boy was struck by a car and injured on Carnwath Road in Carluke on Tuesday 27 October, 2020.

"A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
