18-year-old seriously wounded in drive-by shooting on DuSable Lake Shore Drive near Gold Coast

An 18-year-old man was shot and seriously wounded in a drive-by Dec. 14 on DuSable Lake Shore Drive on the Near North Side. | Tyler LaRiviere/Sun-Times

An 18-year-old man was seriously wounded Tuesday night in a drive-by shooting on DuSable Lake Shore Drive on the Near North Side.

The teen was in a car going north in the 800 block of North DuSable Lake Shore Drive when another car pulled up and someone opened fire, Chicago police said.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition, police said.

No one was in custody.
