A "cold and callous" 18-year-old robber faces 18 months behinds bars after she stole £10 and two cigarettes at knifepoint.
Nicole Johnson, of Western Boulevard in Nottingham, had seen a woman getting money out of a cash machine outside a shop in Radford at around 10.40pm on December 27, 2019.
When the woman came out of the shop, Johnson asked her for a cigarette, to which the victim agreed. She then walked with her along to Forster Street where she asked her for money.
After the victim refused, she pulled out a knife and demanded money and cigarettes, getting away with £10 and two cigarettes.
Johnson pleaded guilty to charges of robbery, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a bladed article when appearing at Nottingham Crown Court on Thursday, March 5.
She was handed 18 months in prison for robbery, three months for possession of an offensive weapon and six months for possession of a bladed article to run concurrently.
The possession of a bladed article charge relates to an offence on January 16 when police found a knife in a bag she was carrying in Radford.
Detective Constable Elina Falcon, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "Johnson committed a very cold and callous offence, even after the victim had offered to help her and take her in for a cup of coffee.
"This case shows that carrying and using a knife to cause fear and harm is taken extremely seriously and will not be tolerated in Nottinghamshire.
"We're glad that Johnson was arrested so quickly after the offence and I'd like to thank my team for their hard work on this case."
