18 jaw-dropping UK wedding venues to book in 2019

As founder of wedding planning app Bridebook.co.uk, I’m lucky enough to know some of the best wedding venues in the country. So, if you are looking to blow your guests away in 2019, here’s a roundup of some of my favourites!

1. Kirtlington Park

On the outskirts of Oxford you will find Kirtlington Park, a breath-taking Palladian mansion set in glorious parkland and landscaped gardens by the famous Capability Brown. Have your civil ceremony in the stylish Saloon alongside the famous “Coronation Portraits” followed by your drinks reception with views of the Chiltern Hills.

2. Hedsor House

Just 30 minutes from London, Hedsor House is a spectacular exclusive-use wedding venue set in over 100 acres of private parkland. This stunning Georgian mansion has played host to celebrities such as the Beckhams, Nicole Kidman, George Clooney and Mark Ronson. Recently voted Buckinghamshire’s Top Rated Wedding Venue, drive up the 1km long drive and be welcomed by Hedsor’s resident herd of Highland cattle. A truly unique and special place.

3. Blenheim Palace

Located in the Cotswolds, and the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, Blenheim Palace offers six different, all breathtaking, spaces to choose from for your celebrations. Our favourite is the Library, which is home to 10,000 books and the magnificent Willis Organ.

4. Peckforton Castle

A castle that even Walt Disney would have even been jealous of. Say ‘I do’ in the Great Hall, under the magnificent vaulted ceiling while light floods in from the stained glass windows. Peckforton Castle is located south-east of Beeston and north of Peckforton village, tucked away in picturesque woodland right in the heart of Cheshire.

5. Moor Park

The magnificent Moor Park Mansion is steeped in history and stands proudly within 300 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens and golf courses. With an extensive collection of art and a reputation for high quality service, this elegant venue is the perfect place for a Hertfordshire wedding.​

6. The Balmoral Hotel

With its period features, sweeping staircase and wedding breakfast catered by michelin-starred executive chef Jeff Bland, there is no question why this Edinburgh wedding venue makes the top of the list.

7. Eden Barn

For couples dreaming of a barn wedding, Eden Barn should be at the top of the list. Sitting amongst picturesque grounds on the edge of the Lake District National Park, The Pennines and the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this rustic venue is a must-visit. Not only will guests enjoy the barn but they will also enjoy rustic wooden seating and a handcrafted thatched gazebo.

8. One Marylebone

Located in the heart of London, One Marylebone is where classic meets modern. Built in 1826 on its own ‘island’ in the heart of the capital, One Marylebone opened its doors as a venue in 2008 and quickly rose to become one of the leading unique event spaces in the capital.

9. Rosewood Hotel

Guests arrive through an archway which opens into a grand Edwardian courtyard, in a little oasis of tranquillity just a few steps from Covent Garden. 10. Danby Castle

This beautiful castle and ruins is a wedding venue that will enchant and mesmerise your guests. You will marry in the 14th century Courtroom and then enjoy your drinks reception surrounded by the green rolling hills of the North York Moors National Park.

11. Iscoyd Park

Marry in the beautiful family home of Iscoyd Park. A venue where your guests can settle into beautiful modern rooms, surrounded by 18th century parkland and stunning gardens. With exclusive use access, it will be a wedding day created just for you on the borders of North Wales, Shropshire and Cheshire.

12. Bristol Museum and Art Gallery

Surrounded by thousands of years of history, not to mention glass vaulted ceilings, romantic balconies and sweeping staircases, look no further for the perfect wedding venue in Bristol.

13. The Lost Orangery

The Lost Orangery, on the edge of Castle Combe, is set within 500 acres of impressive private grounds boasting enchanted woodland, a beautiful valley and boating lake, all bound by a crumbling castle. Wedding guests will take delight in exploring the maze of gardens and sun-drenched terraces, whilst a genteel afternoon tea or vintage-inspired picnic on the lawn creates an elegant country wedding with a difference.

14. Petersham Nurseries

For the bride and groom dreaming of a special day overflowing with greenery, Petersham Nurseries could be the perfect venue for you. Dine under the roof of the glasshouse and leave your guests remembering your beautiful botanical day for years to come.

15. Kew Gardens

Marry in the Nash Conservatory or host your reception at the Grade I listed Orangery. With the breathtaking conservatory windows and natural light in the orangery, your day will be filled with romance and light.

16. Sezincote

An unexpected gem, Sezincote had to make the list. This remarkable venue located in the Cotswolds, is a 200-year-old Mogul Indian palace, set in a romantic landscape of temples, grottoes, waterfalls and canals reminiscent of the Taj Mahal.

17. Roman Baths and Pump Room

For couples seeking pure romance, opt for a ceremony around the Great Baths, with its flickering torch light, steaming waters and 2000 year old paving. Host your nearest and dearest in the Terrace and Reception Hall or Pump Room for your perfect wedding breakfast.

18. Port Eliot Estate
