170 DAVV students bag job offer on campus placement

INDORE: In the first phase of campus placement held at the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), over 170 candidates got job offers via virtual mode. Owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, the varsity is conducting virtual placement drives and has invited companies from different states and tier-one cities.

For academic session 2021-22, the varsity began the first phase of campus placement from July 9 and in a span of one month, over 170 engineering students havebagged offer letters.

As many as 104 students have got a minimum package of Rs8 lakh per annum. Two companies have taken 50 students and have offered them an annual package of Rs10 lakh. “The average package is Rs5.4 lakh per annum”, head of DAVV centralised placement cell Dr Govind Maheshwari told TOI. “Last year, 72 students were placed in the first phase,” he added.
