17-year-old boy wounded in West Garfield Park shooting

A 17-year-old boy was in good condition after being shot twice Tuesday afternoon in West Garfield Park.

He was shot about 12:40 p.m. in the 300 block of South Kilpatrick Avenue, Chicago police said.

The teen was taken to Stroger Hospital with a gunshot to his leg and a graze wound to his arm, police said.

Within minutes of the shooting, a man in his 30s was killed in a separate shooting in East Garfield Park, police said.
