17-year-old boy wounded in Lower West Side shooting

A 17-year-old boy was wounded Tuesday evening in a shooting on the Lower West Side.

The teen was walking down the street about 5:15 p.m. in the 2300 block of West 21st Street when he was shot in the chest, Chicago police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was reportedly in good condition, police said.

No one was in custody.
