17 lucky people celebrating Postcode Lottery win in Nottinghamshire

Seventeen people in Nottinghamshire are celebrating after winning £1,000 each thanks to their lucky postcodes.

NG5 6LW, Carmel Gardens in Arnold and NG8 5GJ in Whitemoor, just off Western Boulevard, were both announced as winners with the People’s Postcode Lottery on Tuesday, May 5.

There were ten winners in NG5 6LW, with a further seven players winning with NG8 5GJ.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt said: "I’m so pleased for our winners. What great news to start their day, I hope they enjoy their winnings."

A minimum of 32 percent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised over £500 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

This draw was promoted by the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association which has received over £2.2 million in funding from the players of People’s Postcode Lottery.

The charity offers a range of services which help thousands of people with sight loss lead confident, independent and fulfilling lives.

Many good causes close to the winners have also benefitted from players’ support, and local charities can next apply for funding in August.
