PUNE: The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) on Monday announced a 17.17% bus fare on all routes from midnight following a rise in fuel prices.
“It will come into effect from Monday midnight. We had no choice but to increase fares as plying buses on the existing rates amidst increased fuel prices has become extremely difficult,” an MSRTC official told TOI. Dnyaneshwar Ranavare, the traffic manager of the Pune division, said those who booked tickets in advance would have to shell out the difference in the fare.
