17 apps Android users are being urged to delete immediately - and they've had 550,000 downloads

Android phone and tablet users are being urged to delete these app or they could risk being hacked.

New research from BitDefender suggests these apps are capable of displaying intrusive ads across a smartphone’s operating system.

The Birmingham Mail reports more than 550,000 Android users have already downloaded the apps onto their devices.

BitDefender said the apps can bypass the Google Play Store’s screening process.

This makes it “difficult for security researchers to grasp the logic of the app”.

The apps are reportedly capable of displaying ads across a user device, including over other apps.

All of the apps listed below have been removed from the Google Play Store.
