GURUGRAM: The city on Wednesday recorded 161 new Covid cases. On Tuesday, the count was 142. The positivity rate also rose to 4.5% from 4.1% on Tuesday. In the eight days of June till now, the city has added 1,059 Covid cases.
In May, 7,619 cases were reported from the district as compared to 5,894 cases in April. Presently, the city has 527 active cases. While three patients are hospitalised, the rest are in home isolation. A total of 3,535 people were tested for Covid-19 on Wednesday compared to 3,437 on Tuesday.
The city reported cases between 350 and 450 from April 24, but after May 15, less than 200 cases are being registered on a daily basis.
The city was inching towards less than 100 cases between June 4 and June 6, however, now the cases are again rising in the city.
