16-year-old shot and wounded walking through gas station on South Side

A 16-year-old was shot while passing through a gas station Saturday on the South Side.

A 16-year-old was shot and wounded Saturday while walking through a gas station in Gresham on the South Side.

The teen was walking through a gas station about 12:55 a.m. in the 7600 block of South Green Street when he heard shots and felt pain, Chicago police said.

He was shot in his left leg and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition, police said.

No one was in custody as of early Saturday morning.
