A 16-year-old boy was shot Thursday in Gresham on the South Side.
The teen boy was getting into his vehicle about 1:45 p.m. in the 8600 block of South Wallace Avenue when a male suspect approached him and began firing shots, Chicago police said.
He was struck in the heel and self-transported to Holy Cross Hospital, where his condition was stable, police said.
Area Two detectives are investigating.
