16-year-old boy shot

A 16-year-old boy was shot Nov. 21, 2020. | Sun-Times file photo

A 16-year-old boy was shot and wounded early Saturday.

About 4:20 a.m., officers met the boy at the University of Chicago Medical Center, Chicago police said.

He told officers he had been sleeping and then woke up and was shot, police said.

The boy suffered two gunshot wounds to the right leg and one to the left, according to police.

Area One detectives are investigating.
