A teenager and two men are in hospital after a stabbing in a Adelaide hotel, which police do not believe was a random incident.

Emergency services were called to a hotel on Morphett Street just before 5am on Monday after reports of an assault. At the scene, they found a teenager and two men with stab wounds.

SA Police said the 16-year-old boy, who was stabbed in his back, thighs and hands, was in a critical but stable condition.

A 27-year-old man from Craigmore suffered a laceration across his chest and a 31-year-old man from Murray Bridge suffered a laceration to his head and was stabbed in his abdomen, both of whom are in a stable condition.

“Investigations are continuing, but it is believed the people involved are all known to each other and this was not a random incident,” SA Police alleged in a statement.

Footage from 9News showed police and paramedics swarming the scene. There was broken glass visible on the floor of the hotel lobby.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers online or call 1800 333 000.
