16 top YouTube channels uploading AI content deleted, report finds

YouTube has started removing some of its most popular AI-generated channels. These channels tend to upload low-quality videos that are repetitive and generated by computers to attract views. According to a report by video sharing platform Kapwing, the purge of these channels started in November 2025 and has so far targeted 16 of the 100 most popular AI channels. These channels had millions of subscribers and billions of views. Many users said AI content was taking attention away from real creators, and this move is YouTube’s effort to fix that and improve the overall quality of content on the platform.

Among the removed channels were CuentosFacianantes, with 5.9 million subscribers, and Imperio de Jesus, with over 5.8 million subscribers. Super Cat League, another top AI channel, was also removed or stripped of its videos. Together, the 16 channels had over 35 million subscribers, nearly 4.7 billion views, and close to $10 million in yearly revenue. The action shows YouTube is serious about limiting low-quality AI content and helping real creators get noticed, while also sending a message to other channels that automated spam will not be tolerated.

YouTube removes top AI channels to fight low-quality content

Kapwing says YouTube is not using a new system to remove these channels. Instead, it is using its current tools for stopping spam and clickbait. The affected channels often used automated production and fake engagement to get more views. By removing them, YouTube hopes to reduce repetitive videos, protect real creators, and encourage more original, creative content across the platform.

These AI channels were among the most viewed automated content on YouTube. They uploaded videos rapidly and sometimes without originality. Analysts think that this crackdown might be a huge shift in how YouTube treats AI content. This indicates that YouTube is ready to take action whenever AI channels affect the experience of its viewers.

Even though AI content will still exist on YouTube, removing these top channels is a clear step to keep the platform fair for real creators. Going forward, YouTube will need to find ways to stop low-quality AI content while supporting creative and original videos that bring real value to users.
