If you're looking for a challenge and a new career more pubs than ever before are in need of new tenants.
The pub trade wasn't easy before the pandemic and it certainly won't be for some time yet to come.
But there might be someone out there willing to take a leap of faith and reinvigorate an old boozer - in fact some of the ones listed at Find My Pub - an independent website - are in line for a makeover.
Potential candidates will need some money behind them, with 'ingoing costs' to pay - the minimum amount needed to take on the pub, and usually includes the security deposit, the first stock and glassware order, and some fixtures and fittings.
Then, in many cases there will also be annual rent to pay, which includes any cost for private accommodation.
Here's some of the many pubs needing a new landlord or landlady in both the city centre and local neighbourhoods and the costs involved.
