16 and Pregnant star Jordan Cashmyer's cause of death confirmed a month after passing

The cause of death of MTV's 16 and Pregnant star Jordan Cashmyer has been revealed over a month after her passing.

It's ben confirmed by the Office of Chief Medical Examiner for the Maryland Department of Health that Jordan died of fentanyl and cocaine intoxication.

However, they told E! News that the manner of death is undetermined, meaning it isn't clear whether the incident was accidental or not.

Her death was originally confirmed by her father Dennis on January 16.

He took to Facebook at the time to announce the tragic news, writing: "Last night I received a call no parent ever wants.

"My oldest beloved daughter, Jordan has passed away, she was only 26 years old. Our hearts are truly broken. No parent should ever have to go through losing a child, EVER."

He added: "Please keep my family in your thoughts prayers as we navigate through this terrible tragedy. Please understand and respect our privacy at this time. We are surrounded by the love and support of our children, grand daughter Lyla and family members."

He also organised a fundraiser online to try to help support the financial side for her final arrangements as well as Jordan's seven-month-old daughter Lyla's future care.

On the page, he wrote: "Addiction plagues many families, and our family was not immune to it. Jordan was always so full of life and full of personality.

"She had a way of always making those around her laugh and smile, and her smile was truly contagious."

Jordan first appeared on the small screen in 2014 when fans of the reality TV show watched on as Jordan and her boyfriend, Derek Taylor raised their daughter Evie.

As Jordan was about to give birth, the couple remained homeless and with her parents not approving of the relationship, the pair eventually went their separate ways.

Jordan had joined the show as a teen from Baltimore Maryland, who was expecting Derek's baby.

Viewers discovered her parents had asked her to leave the family house after she refused to split from Derek when she fell pregnant.

She welcomed daughter Genevieve Shae Taylor on March 7, 2014 and Derek's continued lack of wanting to work saw the pair end up splitting up over their financial struggles and they went their separate ways.

Following their split, she signed over temporary custody rights to their child to Derek's mother in 2015, according to Deadline.
