AHMEDABAD: The city on Monday recorded 155 new Covid cases, accounting for 44% of the state's tally of 351. Of the 2,566 active cases in the state, 1,149 or 45% of them were in Ahmedabad alone.
Other cases included 71 in Surat city, 30 in Vadodara city, 12 in Gandhinagar city, 11 in Valsad, and nine each in Jamnagar city and Navsari among others.
None of the active patients in the state are on ventilators, according to the health department.
Only four of the 33 districts have zero active cases.
In the past 24 hours, Gujarat vaccinated 4,195 persons for the first dose and 12,553 for the second.
In all, 5.4 crore have been administered the first dose of the vaccine, and 5.32 crore the second dose.
The state administered booster doses to 17,483 persons, taking the total to 39.74 lakh.
