The hope is the 2020 NFL season will be able to start on time. Everything is so uncertain in the face of the coronavirus pandemic. The league is fortunate it is in the throes of its offseason and doesn’t have to make major decisions about training camp or playing for the time being. Here are some players who will be looking to reach career plateaus in 2020.
Tom Brady

The G.O.A.T. won’t reach his next plateau in New England. Rather, Tom Brady will head for the 75,000-yard mark as a Tampa Bay Buc. He needs 429 passing yards to hit the milestone.
Drew Brees

The great New Orleans Saints quarterback is tops in career yardage in NFL history. He needs 2,584 yards to reach the 80,000-yard mark.
Ezekiel Elliott

Ezekiel Elliott is a force in Dallas and should have no problem gaining the 595 yards he needs to reach 6,000 for his brilliant, young career.
Ryan Fitzpatrick

Ryan Fitzpatrick has been with eight teams in his career. He had a productive 2019 with the Miami Dolphins and will need 2,114 yards for 35,000.
Frank Gore

This could be a challenge for Frank Gore. The soon-to-be 37-year-old will need 653 yards to reach 16,000 for his great career.
A.J. Green

A.J. Green missed the entire 2019 season. The Bengals’ great needs 93 yards for 9,000 and could make a run at the 10,000-yard mark if he can stay healthy throughout 2020.
Todd Gurley

Todd Gurley will try and reach the 6,000-yard mark for his career in the state he had great success in college. The former Georgia Bulldog needs 596 yards as an Atlanta Falcon to attain 6,000.
DeAndre Hopkins

DeAndre Hopkins will be changing uniforms in 2020. The former Houston Texan will quickly become Kyler Murray’s go-to receiver in Arizona and should have no problem getting the 398 yards he needs for 9,000 in the first quarter of the season.
Julio Jones

Julio Jones is spectacular. There is every reason to believe he will get the 875 yards and far more than needed to get to 13,000 in his career with the Atlanta Falcons.
Adrian Peterson

Adrian Peterson just turned 35 and doesn’t seem to be slowing down. He will have to keep rolling if he wants to reach the 15,000-yard mark, needing 784 yards.
Philip Rivers

Philip Rivers is another veteran who will change colors, exiting the Los Angeles Chargers for the Indianapolis Colts. The former fourth overall pick by the New York Giants needs 729 yards for 60,000.
Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers continues to climb the quarterback ranks. He will reach 4,000 completions for his career with 87 in 2020.
Ben Roethlisberger

Ben Roethlisberger will need to come back healthy in 2020 to approach the 60,000-yard mark. The Steelers’ veteran quarterback is 3,455 yards short of the milestone.
Russell Wilson

Russell Wilson could top the 30,000-yard mark in his first game of the 2020 regular season. The Seahawks’ quarterback needs 266 yards as he starts his ninth year.
Jason Witten

Jason Witten’s last three years have taken him from the MNF booth to the Dallas Cowboys and now to the Las Vegas Raiders. It will be strange to see the tight end in silver and black. He needs 23 yards to reach 13,000 for his long career.
