INDORE: Indore district reported 15 new cases of dengue on Tuesday, taking the total tally to 415 cases. Out of the new 15 cases, eight were males and 7 were females.
The official records showed that every fifth dengue infection in the district is being reported among a children aged below 15 years. There were 87 infections among children aged below 15 years this year.
“Dengue cases dipped for a week before a resurge was witnessed,” said malaria officer Daulat Patel. The district has reported over 300 cases in September alone. The surge was reported since August 1 with rains and cases rose from 11 to 415 in less than two months.
The areas with new cases were Telephone Nagar, Pardeshipura, Shyam Nagar, Chhota Bangada, Maruti Nagar, Devnagar, Tilak Nagar, Sai Nagar, Nanda Nagar, Gokul Nagar and Arihant Nagar
