15 former Eagles among the 122 Modern-Era nominees for Pro Football Hall of Fame

On Thursday, the Pro Football Hall of Fame announced their 122 Modern-Era nominees for its 2020 class. With the NFL celebrating their 100th, the Hall of Fame selection committee voted to suspend their by-laws related to normal class sizes for one year.

The centennial celebration will include a special 20 member class inducted for 2020 ceremony. With the modern era, nominees including only players whose careers ended less than 25 seasons ago, 15 former Philadelphia Eagles made the cut.

The Hall of Fame selection committee will meet on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, in Miami, before the Super Bowl, to elect the Class of 2020 that will include five Modern-Era players. The Modern-Era Finalists will be trimmed during the meeting from 15 to 10 and then from 10 to the five who will be elected as part of the Class of 2020.
