Colorful celosia flowers are in full bloom at the Country Farm Tokyo German Village, treating visitors to an amazingly charming spectacle.
The flower is called "keito" in Japanese, which means chicken head because the shape of the flower is similar to a chicken's crest -- and about 15,000 red, yellow and orange flowers bloom on a 3,800-square-meter site of the park located in Sodegaura, Chiba Prefecture.
In October last year, Typhoon No. 19 caused landslides at the park, but heavy machinery cleared the land and restored the flower fields.
"We want visitors to feel happy when they see the beautiful flowers. We will welcome them in a safe environment," an official of the park said. The park requires visitors to wear masks to prevent infection with the coronavirus.
The best time to see the flowers continues through mid-October.
