141 new coronavirus cases found in Scotland with no new deaths

A further 141 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours with no new deaths recorded.

The latest figures bring the total number of cases confirmed across the country to 21,189 since the pandemic began.

The Scottish Government confirmed that 251 people are currently being treated in hospital having caught the bug.

Two are in intensive care, while the total number of people who have died after testing positive remains at 2,496.

The new figures come as disgruntled Scots holidaymakers were left baffled by the decision to add Portugal to the quarantine list.

Travellers arriving back on home soil after 4am on Saturday will now have to self-isolate for two weeks.

Confusion has arisen as the air bridge to the holiday hotspot remains in place for English travellers.

But Scots must enter the 14-day quarantine or risk facing a hefty fine.
