AGRA: A 14-year-old boy, making reels with his friend, was allegedly stabbed to death by miscreants for refusing to hand over his phone. The incident took place in Patwari Nagla under the Quarsi police station area of Aligarh.

According to police, the incident took place on Tuesday evening, after which the victim, Samir Ahmed, was rushed to Jawaharlal Medical College, where he died during treatment on Thursday. Samir’s friend Chamman, 20, also sustained knife injuries during the attack as he tried to fight the miscreants.

Zubair Ahmed, Samir’s brother, said: "He was making reels when suddenly several local drug addicts came to him and tried to snatch his mobile phone and money. When Samir refused, he was stabbed multiple times in his stomach, after which they fled. On getting information, we rushed to the spot and shifted him to the medical college, where he died."

DSP Ashok Kumar Singh, said: "A case under relevant IPC sections including 302 (Murder) has been registered at Quarsi police station and the body was sent for autopsy. We have formed teams to arrest the accused and multiple raids are being conducted. Further investigation is on."
