The Kerala government has sanctioned ₹14.88 lakh as honorarium for pre-primary section employees for the period from January to March this year.
The honorarium will be given to 2,861 teachers and 1,970 ayahs of recognised pre-pre-primary sections attached to government schools run by parent-teacher associations.
At present, depending on the service tenure of the employees, teachers are paid ₹12,500 and ₹12,000, and ayahs ₹7,500 and ₹7,000 as honorarium every month.
Directions have been issued to Deputy Directors of Education to hand over the honorarium to the eligible employees at the earliest.
