LUCKNOW: At least 135 more people tested Covid-19 positive in the city on Wednesday.
At the same time, 424 patients recovered from the disease, which was almost three times the number of new infections. As a result, the number of active cases dropped to 2019. Fresh cases included two healthcare workers and four patients who were tested before being admitted to hospital for non-Covid ailments.
“Most patients are recovering in home isolation and their health condition is being monitored by rapid reaction teams,” said chief medical officer Dr Manoj Agrawal.
Areawise, the highest (65) cases were reported from Chinhat, followed by Aliganj (44).
Meanwhile, 17,358 people were vaccinated against Covid-19 in the district on Wednesday. While 4,102 people got the first dose, 11,894 took the second and 1,362 received the booster doses.
