13 Rushcliffe roads getting completely resurfaced

Resurfacing works are to be carried out at 13 roads in four areas of Nottinghamshire at the end of summer.

Locations across the borough of Rushcliffe will be getting entire lengths of road resurfaced.

This includes carriageways in West Bridgford, Newton, Gotham and one road in Radcliffe-on-Trent.

It comes as nearly £50million of funding has been pledged to improve the county's roads, as drivers claim they are among "the worst in the country".

The works in Rushcliffe are scheduled to start on Monday, August 9 and take place between 7.30am and 5pm.

The end date is planned for Saturday, October 9 meaning a total of just over eight weeks.

In a roadworks bulletin from Via East Midlands, which is carrying out the works on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council, it states: "These works are very weather dependent, and dates may change at short notice throughout this period."

During the period of works, driving, waiting, loading and unloading will be prohibited along the 13 roads.

Alternative routes will be signposted on site.

The following locations are affected for the full length of the road:

Clumber Road, West Bridgford

Dale Close, West Bridgford

Loughborough Road, West Bridgford

Mabel Grove, West Bridgford

Manvers Road, West Bridgford

Trenchard Close, Newton

Friar Walk, Newton

Fairway Crescent, Newton

The Green, Radcliffe on Trent

Meadow End, Gotham

Hall Drive, Gotham

Tomlinson Avenue, Gotham

Pygall Avenue, Gotham
